Bobtail my EMP

Hey all. I'm going to start working the tail on my EMP soon. I'm fairly confident I can do the rounding and finishing clean. However, I can't remember if the mainspring housing is hollow close to the base, or if I'll have enough metal to work with. Does anyone have any insight to this for me? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
