I can help you out.. .. I'm in Whittier ...I milled out the fire control area on these two 80's on a friends CNC a few years ago long before the Govt stopped the "Build Parties".
We did not use a jig, but locked them down on the table. At the time he did not have the specs for the side holes and I completely forgot I even had these in the safe.
I would like to finish them off, using my drill press, at my house and using my tools. I just want to get them completed, and have them anodized long before Ca takes any proposed action on the current bills.
So...does anyone in the Orange County (Irvine) area have a jig (or just the side plates) preferably with hardened steel inserts (TM?) that they would be interested in selling? I would be happy to sell them back (at a loss to me) if that would make it easier.
As you can see my 80's have the FCA milled and have been engraved with my information.
Please IM if you have a jig to sell...
