    Need TIG work done.

Hello. I have a spot on my P38 that could use a zap of a tig welder. Its where the spring guide rides along the rail in the slide. Looks like it had worn through. Seems like the spring guide was rough on the edges and may have worn through it. Well I replaced the guides, but the hole causes some slight resistance. I definitely do not want to use my mig on it. I'd rather someone who TIG's to fill in that gap. I'm in Ventura, any leads are appreciated. Thanks guys/Gals!

    Post a picture.

Putting weld ON is not the problem.
The problem is properly dressing the weld back DOWN...

It's where the spring guide rubbed against the burrs around it.

How about a picture from the other side?
This might be a good candidate for micro laser welding.

It looks a lot easier to access from that side.
If I were to attempt this, I would make a copper or brass filler block and clamp that block in the channel.
Then I would fill the hole from the back side and dress the excess weld back down flat inside the magazine well.

                              That area looks super thin.
I am more concerned with the CAUSE of the hole than the actual hole.
It looks like a spring just slides in that channel, but a spring is not going to dig a hole like that.
