    Taurus PT99 Firing Pin

Hey, can someone tell me how to remove/change the firing pin on a Taurus PT99? I haven't been able to find out much online.

    Thanks

Don't know, but taurusarmed.net had some posts.
If you don't get the answer here, post one there.
    Good luck

PT99 Complete slide dissasembly OK, so I decided to polish my slide, and when I started looking around all I could seem to find were questions regarding how to do it. Well, I figured it out, so I figured I'd post it up, in case someone else needs the information. NOTE: I am NOT a gunsmith. I...

        Taurus PT99 Firing Pin

I did mine last night. Not too
        hard. Is yours a standard PT99 or a PT99AF?
The difference is between the type of sights. Mine has an adjustable rear sight which means I have to remove the sight first to get to the extractor pin. A PT99 with fixed sights you have direct access to the extractor pin... but you may still have to drift the rear sight off the slide to remove the firing pin block spring and plunger.

Here is a quick link to maybe help you out a little.
