What diameter is it? If you know what size you can buy almost anything in .0005" increments at Mcmaster Carr or MSC.

I dont believe it is a straight wall chamber. They all have a little taper. A finish "reamer" is a form tool shaped like the cartridge one intends to chamber. I suppose I could try find a drawing for this long obsolete caliber and drill/ream/bore to the dimension for the chamber body, throat, and rim, but I would rather just find a finisher and be done with it. I will probably have to buy one and then peddle it on ebay, but I though I would try a few gunsmithing forums first.

        PTG lists it.

You said you wanted to rent or buy one. It's definitely an oddball.

I have watched chamber reamers on eBay for many many years and I have never even seen a 25-21 stevens reamer go up for sale.
That's an odd cat for sure.

Yep. Me too. I can order one from Kiff but I thought I would try the forums first before ordering. Who knows, he might even get it out the door before two or three surface on Craigslist.
Now you are going to know of at least one for sale soon.

If the issue is that the cartridge is too tight, maybe a neck reamer?

You're asking the right question, but your asking it on the wrong forum. The only people that might have a reamer like that would be on the ASSRA. (But, if you do end up having to buy a new one, PTG makes good stuff!)

from my cartridges of the world 11th edition it appears to be a straight walled case.

And knowing what i know how to do. if I could locate dimensions I'd get a reamer the was over size and grind it to match. Now before all the whack jobs start going nuts. I have a attachment for my surface grinder that is made for sharpening endmills and reamers. and it's not some $99 Chinese ebay crap either. good money on good tools

But making tools comes down to how much money i have in my pocket and how much time i have as a whole. if I have the time and no money I'm making the tool, If I have money and a little to no time to deal with it i'm buy the tool.,

Thing is Kendog you know damn good and well if you buy it you're going to be stuck with it. it's that much of an oddball i don't think you'll have a taker anytime soon

Thanks. I didn't think of them. Memory is the second thing that goes, cant remember the first!
                          Definitely worth a shot.

KC I have a friend/mentor that can grind one up from a chucking reamer and that is certainly one option. I personally don't have the smarts or the tools to do it.
My customer will eventually pay for a new one, just trying to see if there was one out there lurking in the corner of someones toolbox.

Besides, it provided a short diversion from all the "help me with my (fill in the blank) 80%er" stuff!

It actually has a .020" taper over 2.05". My COW 5th Ed. has some dimensions at the end of the chapter.
