    bolt action rifle barrel gunsmithing

you may have to take a day off work to get it done during the week but it will be done in one day with a appointment.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Waiting a month for a while you wait appointment is faster than sending it to someone who will take a month to do it.
weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

Steve and Sal at American Pacific Fireworks have done three rifles and two handguns for me. No complaints here about the quality of the work or the time. Since it is the holiday season and their hours are reduced, call then and get a time and cost estimate.

No experience with APR. Tough to find gunsmiths that deliver Top grade work and timely these days. Good ones are excentric and ill tempered with unrealistic wait times, because they insist on running a one man shop and are backed up for a few years of work and frostrated while refusing to hire hands eventhough they can and do charge very high prices. (i.e your friendly local machine shop can cut a dovetail better than factory spec for $20 but the local gunsmith charges $120 with 6 months wait time + a few delays). It aint nuclear physics or organic chemistry.

              try

1- "AR15 barrel", he is a vendor on calgun and has excellet reputation (not sure if he works on your model though)
2- Call Springfield Armory's cutom shop. 800-680-6866. They work on all types of guns. i"d guess this would be the best bet if they take it. Excellent work with very reasonable turnaround.

              Good luck
