AK Ejector rail with indent

    AK Ejector rail with indent

    As you see in the pic, the rail on the right has an indent. What is that for and is it necessary? Need to know before I weld in the bolt guide rails in a pressed flat.

    there are two different styles of ejector rails for the AK. The one with the indent is generally a lot thinner that the other rail. To make it fir the bolt they added the dent to increase the overall thickness of the rail. Both work OK. AK builder used to send one or the other years ago.
