    Does anyone know\have experience with smiths that do custom slide cuts, milling, serrations, etc?

              Not in LA, but Kcstott in national city does some very nice work.

              *edit* Randall(ar15barrels) is in LA. You might contact him as well. Not sure if he does slide work....He does just about everything though.
