    Dude that thing is great.
weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

      That thing is pretty cool.
When I was a kid, my neighbor had a little benchtop milling machine just like that.
He only had a 3/8" collet for it so I had to buy all my endmills with 3/8" shanks so I could use it.

Barrel, sight and trigger work on most pistols and shotguns.
      Most work performed while-you-wait.

No quill, so drilling would be a tedious process just using the knee.

I don't think it would be that bad. Some models had autofeed on the table, but I'm not sure if that was only X/Y or if that was Z also.

FWIW, that 6" Benchmaster rotary table is a cool item at $150. The seller is asking extra for that, but that's a real clean machine and well worth the money for someone that was considering a mini-mill. Even runs off 115v.

Here's more info, they were made by Duro in L.A. who changed their name.

Benchmaster mills are really great little machines, I had a horizontal set up specifically for making gears for some time. As to drilling using the knee, mills are designed and set up for milling, not drilling, with bearings designed to take a side load rather than vertical load. Better to use a drill press for drilling holes.

I have a BenchMaster. Everything you say is spot on. If I need to drill holes or hog out voids. I have two DPs, a bench and a floor. I do not have the Horizontal arbor. But I do have the motor mount for the Horizontal.

Yep good little machine. No quill will make drilling a bit tough, But a far better machine then HF and these older machine hold there value. This guy will get the $950 he's asking

If I was in the area I'd likely buy it, would be nice to have a quality setup even if it's small.

They are nice little machines. I have two. One horizontal, (in the middle of a rebuild), and one vertical.
But I ditched the plain milling head and mounted a Rusnok head. Which is about 1/3 the size of a Bridgeport M-Head, and has a quill. Then I added a DRO, which is worth it's weight in gold.

                      It was.
I didn't drill any holes as there was no drill chuck...

I drilled holes at home on my drill press with an X-Y table.
