    10/22 help

So I'm trying to remove my factory 10/22 barrel but it wont come out. I tried using the bolt hammering method, the freezing method, the receiver heating method, the brute force pull and twist, the wooden dowel and mallet method, and the lube and pull method. What next? The whole thing is stripped down to the barrel and receiver, v block removed. Right now its about 1/8" out but wont budge any more. Any ideas what to do next? Should I just find a gunsmith to send it to? Thanks for any help you can give me. --random

I had one that was tight also, and what I ended up doing was heating up the receiver with a heatgun (receiver only),around the barrel area and once it got hot I put some oil in between barrel and receiver, the heat will help draw in the oil, and then with the receiver in a vice wrapped with a rag so you dont scratch it up, I took a crescent wrench and placed it on the barrel were the v block goes and started spinning it and it came out after that, pay attention to the receiver while doing this so that you dont flex it to much and break it
    good luck

Drill a 3/8" hole in the rear face of the receiver (You'll use this later to clean the weapon from the breech anyways), then get a long brass punch and tap it out.
