1911 file help

Hey guys,

I tried using the search function and tried to find the info before i posted this but i couldn't find a clear answer. My questions is what type of file do you need to work on a 1911 mainly for barrel fitting and small parts. So far I see that i need a pillar file but not sure what kind exactly. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

I've got about a dozen different files for 1911 work.

My two favorites are swiss narrow and extra narrow pillar files with safe sides. Diamond files are also excellent, as are half rounds.
