I purchased a S&W Shield 9 mm a month or so back. I have small hands and was hoping it would work for me. I am unhappy with the trigger pull, I find it too hard to pull which causes me to miss my target. I ordered a different trigger for the pistol which takes it from a 9 lb. pull to a 4 lb. pull. My husband said he would change it for me after watching the video. How hard is this to do, or should I take it to a gunsmith? What would a gunsmith charge? Thanks in advance for any help.

I bought the apex shield trigger kit for my wife, I tried the install my self with the instructional video on their webpage, to no success. I paid 40 bucks to the armor at north county firearms to complete the job. The results were amazing! It now has a positive reset, less take up, and smooth and consistent spring tension

The Shield's CA model mag disconnect is not shown in some vids...it does have to be dealt with.
To reassemble it, you will need a slave pin to hold the sub-assembly together while re-installing.
I've done one of these already as you can tell.
