I'd look at an Aero Precision M4E1, they have them in FDE and it's a great handguard setup. Not super slim, but available in keymod or m-lok.

It is a proprietary design, but some other manufacturers use the same bolt pattern to mount the handguard to the barrel nut as AP uses to mount it to the upper. The upper comes with a barrel nut and barrel nut wrench. In an old thread I see a claim that it's the same mount as BAR style handguards, which I guess is Seekins/Spikes (from a little googling). I bought a 15" handguard on eBay for $50 and it's very similar, same bolt pattern, not the same quality but functional.

I got a nice deal on an M4E1 upper with 15" keymod handguard, 16" midlength barrel, $350. Not crazy deal but pretty good given the quality. I'm finally now getting around to building an SPR with that upper and a Black Hole Weaponry barrel, I'll also be building a DMR but need to buy another of the uppers first.

I think it would look great with a matching color cerakoted upper and OD Green accessories. I don't think I have seen too many of those around.

I was looking at the Aero uppers also for a build I am starting using an 80 percent lower also. If you end up going that route, would you please keep us updated on how it matches the 80 percent lower?
