    well thats a shame why was it on so tight i only screw the tube on till it reaches the top of the threads

    you can get a knockoff bullet button on ebay

          That's why I always thread the nut on to test the threads before I install the parts.
          Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
          I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

              I've been installing a bunch of BB's recently and i've noticed the spring they include has too small of a I.D. and stays tight and compressed on the mag catch, causing it to stick. I always check the fitment of these parts before installing. I slide just the mag catch in and out along with the button set up to see if there are any burrs or machining differences. I got plenty of proper sized spring stock to replace em. Just be sure to check everything goes together outside 1st.

                Wow that sucks, first thing I noticed is how far it was threaded, should be flush with the threads. I am not seeing any finish knocked off of the threads so if it did cross thread it was the BB threads that failed. I try to remember to test fit threads outside of what ever I am assembling so I can use bigger tools to try to fix things like this. In the greater picture it sucks to loose $25 but at least you did not damage the lower.
