    cetme model c kits

So what I have found on the Google is the cetme is a less refined g3 or ptr. Besides the ugly bolt carrier welds is seems like it was poor assembly. Not just bad parts.
My question is if I build one with more attention to detail will it function fine? I will be buying ptr sights for the front and rear. And a Navy g3 trigger housing. I have seen about 2 ptr rifles in my life
I am looking at the apex ad and would love to have a,g3 clone.
I know on my ak to press the barrel into the trunion, the barrel should be .002 to .004 bigger than the hole in the trunion. Will this be the same on the cetme kit? It seems the hard part is the bolt gap. Once that is set I know you must mount the trunion before you weld the cocking tube. A bolt drop test should be done before any parts fitment.
Just wondering if anyone has any more tips or tricks to help this build go smooth?
Any mistakes you would like to do differently. If you build a second one. How different are the barrels at apex from a pet barrel or g3 barrel. I saw some place the g3 is larger diameter than the ptr barrel . Hk parts.com did not have any barrels listed as cetme barrels.
Last question has anyone bought the cetme c kit from apex ? Any problems with the kits?
    Thanks again.

Go register on weapons guild, all the tutorials you could possibly need are there.
Be aware that most of the cetme parts do not interchange with the g3, for example the bolt carrier has a longer snout on it than the cetme. Therefore the cooking tube is longer and shaped slightly different.

I was thinking of a ptr bolt and ptr sights. I saw the navy g3 trigger housing for 9$ I'm building from a flat so it will be set up for g3 ptr trigger housing

If I was you I would order the barrel with the Kit.
Like was said above a lot of individual parts do not interchange, whole assemblies may. And if you found the trigger housing for 9.00 I can almost bet its not complete. The G3 Navy use to run about 85.00 used when they were on sale, and you still have to clip and pin them. Or go here and buy it ready to go.

The trigger pack is a good place for 922r parts to live. So you might want to look into what is available. Rtg and hk parts should have all that stuff.

I just don't think apex would be a good place for a barrel. I just assumed hkpart.net barrel would be a bit more consistent.
Anyone want to sell a flat jig cheap? Or if I buy one I would sell it at a lower price when done.

Interesting, we do not manufacture the barrels we sell, we have them supplied to us from a variety of sources.
The CETME barrels APEX sells are the same ones used by a commercial builder of those rifles.
I have received no complaints about barrels, and actually put them on sale when we started selling the CETME C kits.
I was planning to have another sale on them, but perhaps the price makes customers concerned about the quality?

I have seen I hear I think that some bought 2 barrels and that they were slightly different. I figured they were from different manufacturers. The ones now how many flute do they have?

Well, since it is Sunday evening and I am at home, while a rather lively lightning storm is flashing around the neighborhood, I don't have that answer.
You best course of action to obtain that information will be to call APEX CUSTOMER SERVICE (719) 481-2050 during our normal hours.
I am short a couple of key people on Monday and have a LOT to get done to be ready for the July 4th sales.
I am about positive my week is going to be really, really busy!

You may also want to join www.weaponsguild.com and check the CETME Model C build threads.
I know APEX CETME barrels are being used by my customers on that forum.

Just heads up to busy for customers equals no sales. Especially on product information
