    Magazine problem please help

So I have a Springfield armory EMP 9mm as my EDC gun, every time I go to load up I like to top off my magazine before heading out, however after putting one in the chamber when I go to remove the loaded magazine it always strips 1 round out of the mag and then I must fish it out of the magwell, any help would be much appreciated

Load the chamber with a loose round. Close the slide. Insert full magazine.

There is nothing wrong with the gun.
The next round to be fed is just sliding forward a bit when the first round is chambered and snagging on the feed ramp when the mag is removed.
      Other pistols do this too.
Irritating perhaps, but nothing is wrong.

I would always feed all autoloaders from the mag whenever possible.
Guns with 1911 type fixed extractors are not tolerant of loading one round direct into the chamber and then dropping the slide.
Pivoting extractor designs are more tolerant of this, even still increased wear on the extractor is possible.

Maybe consider having an extra "feeder mag" just for loading your first round.

I agree ojisan, But I'll add that all my 1911 use wilson combat 47D mags only and my H&K's use H&K mags only and I've never ran into this issue, but my 1911's are 45 and don't have extended feed ramps off the barrel either

I can't remember which gun I used to have that did this.
It was not a 1911, though.

          < can't remember nuthin' anymore.

Emp has a lifetime warranty. I'm just not sure what the turn around time is in Brazil
