    Help with Rudius 1911

Hi, so im trying to install the beavertail and notice that beavertail hits the frame. Do I file the frame or the beavertail?

On my Rudius I filed the beavertail sides and stripped it down and duracoated it when all was fit.
With these builds I recommend shimming the flat spring so it stays to the right; the mainspring slot was a tad wide and allowed the spring to move left, falling off the sear/disconnector; the hammer would follow the slide after a round.

A 1911 is not a plug and play you do need to fit the pieces and I would always file the pieces that can be replaced and not a frame.

Wilson jig and a belt sander.
