AK fire control group assembly help

Yes I did use the search button. I riveted an AK at the recent build party and it's all together except the fire control group. I sent away for A Tapco G2 trigger group, was that necessary? I thought I had to but I read recently that the Romy G's are already semi auto so does that mean I could have just used the parts I already had? How about a link to some assembly instructions? Thanks, Bob.

You need 5 US made parts to make it legal. What other US made parts are you using?

Trigger group should look like this:

US made muzzle break and magazine follower. Very good, thanks for the help JamesY and Sam1. Are these US made parts requirements for all builds or for rifles to be sold?

You should probably get a American fcg to help make it compliant. I just got a romy g kit I want to build when I have the money for the receiver etc. What receiver are you using?

I've read that the tapco g2 single hook is not recommended for the NDS-3 receiver, and I've read the double hook requires some modification to work in an NDS-3, so you might want to take note of that. I have been meaning to post a thread asking what fcg I should use for a Romy G build

I say use Tapco double hook, all you have to do is dremel another slot for the second hook. Really not to hard. i have always had to adjust the disconnect a bit so the safety can be installed. but thats no biggie either.

Guys, go through this website! It has everything you need to know about Compliant Pats and building the rifle. This website helped me out quite a bit.

              enjoy...

all g's are semi only. they have all the f/a parts but the disconnector has the tail ground off. this was supposedly to allow quick restoration of f/a capability. the tail on the disc. engages the autosear.
