Safety Selector Issue - 80% TM *Resolved*

    Background
I used the Modulus Arms jig, along with a Tactical Machining 80% gen1 lower. Prior to assembling the internals and to verify alignment, I test fitted the hammer pin, trigger pin and safety selector . I installed the bullet button and magazine latch. Followed by the bolt catch. Afterwards, I installed the trigger and hammer.

    Issue
With the hammer cocked, I inserted the safety selector. However, it won't go through the other end. The holes on both sides have clearance, but it's just not going through.

    Question
What's the best way to fix this? Should I file the safety selector? Should I make the hole slightly larger? Any tips are helpful. Below are the photos. Thank you in advanced!

Drill bit was used to drill through each side separately. Image shows the drill bit lined up with no friction.

    Resolution:
I removed the hammer and trigger. I decided to install the selector first, then the trigger and then the hammer. Everything fits and I'm happy. Looking back, I feel like an idiot. In my defense, I don't have the proper tools, I got lucky with removing the pins by being creative I hope this helps others in the future.

Did u try lubing and giving it a tap with brass hammer? I had one that was stubborn and just gave it a couple taps and it worked its way in and funtions perfectly with no binding or sticking.

Have you tried installing the selector without the trigger installed? Chances are that the pocket is not deep enough to allow the trigger to pivot down far enough to clear the selector. The drill bit fits because of the flutes, they're twisting around the trigger. Don't make the hole larger or file the selector. Check the depth of the pocket and fix that if it's not to spec. If you need to file anything, file the tail of the trigger.

I test fitted the selector and it rotated without an issue. I'll actually disassemble the hammer and trigger. Since I don't have a measuring tool, I'll install the jig and verify the depth using the depth gauge. If it's off, then that's probably the cause of this issue. Otherwise, I'll just file the tail of the trigger. Thanks for the info!

You do have a valid point. I can't argue that.
