Any gun shop should have a set. I have not done a 15. My lr308 shuts on all gauges. It's Rainer arms. It is supposed to be 1 moa I'm not getting that but I'm not sure how much is me. It fired fine but I never got an explanation why the no go and field would close. Bad service bad barrel. The same Guage worked properly in a, rem 700 dpms lr 308. And a, savage rifle. Bcm has good service and great product. It's as always good to have piece of mind . You should be fine

What sort of chamber does the Rainer have, .308 Winchester or 7.62 NATO? The chamber dimensions are different, and using the wrong set of gauges will give you the wrong answer. From my notes:

        SAAMI .308 Winchester:
        GO: 1.630 in.
        NO-GO: 1.634 in.
        FIELD: 1.638 in.

        7.62 NATO (M14 US MILSPEC):
        GO: 1.6355 in.
        NO-GO: 1.638 in.
        FIELD: 1.6445 in.

So, all things being equal, a 7.62NATO chamber+bolt will close on a 308 Winchester no-go or field gauge, while still being dimensionally correct for 7.62NATO ammo. Most ammo I've run through my Hornady comparator shows about -.004 to -.006" under SAAMI minimum for 308 Win, and about -.003 to -.004 under NATO minimum for M80 ball. Note those numbers a relative, as the tool is a comparator for looking at ammo, not an absolute headspace datum tool.

LOL. Most gun shops won't have a set unless they have a gunsmith on site.

Yup. You can buy them online at places like midway. They cost about $30 each gauge

I charge $10 to headspace check a gun.
I have gauges for most common modern cartridges and some older ones too.

I met the OP for coffee and we got his head space question resolved.

                  His upper is in spec.

It's always fun to do head space checks in parking lots. Head on a swivel and having a good time.
