replacing AK magazine release spring

I really screwed the pooch on this one. I didn't follow the directions while installing a mag lock on my Romy I just built and now I have a disassembled magazine catch. Has anybody ever had to put the pin or bolt through the assembly? How did you keep it lined up while dealing with the spring pressure?

Use a punch slightly smaller than the pin as a slave to line up everything. Then use the pin or screw you want to use to push out the punch.

This is the way I did it. It can be a pain in the Arse so take your time it will go in.

compress the spring with pliers, wire or tie wrap it and install release. cut wire/tie wrap.
