I have a potential afternoon conflict - anybody have a guess as to when a classifier match might wrap up? Seems like they usually go pretty fast but I haven't shot one at Richmond before.

Usually classifier matches gather a smaller crowd, many people don't feel the need to push for a new classification all at once. When I shot it last year to get my initial classification we were done with the first round by 1. I think we had about 2/3 the normal crowd of people. There were about 10 of us that went through the whole set a second time, I shot Lim10 the same day, and were out of there around 4.

I'm not going this year. I've shot 5 matches this month , got my B classification in Limited, and don't have a burning desire to push for another classification without more training.

The things you get to do when your wife is on a buisness trip for most of the month.

One other thing to note.. is that it will be a completely paper affair.. I'll be putting the scoresheets into ezwinscore after the match (I'll be pulling my decoys from my duck club that day) so results won't be published right away.. I have till the 10th of Feb to get them submitted.. be sure that shooter # is included on every score sheet, and your name should be readable.. Make sure time gets recorded and all pertinent hits..

How many stages will be set up? Is it enough to get classified by just shooting that one day? Are the classifiers that will be there on Sunday decided at this point?

I believe it's 5 classifiers (one per bay) and you get an initial classification at 4.

Have you ever shot uspsa before? If you've never done it before, you won't be able to participate in the match. Richmond, and most clubs, do not allow a new shooter to participate in a match without prior practical shooting (IDPA, ICORE, etc.) Or taking their introduction class.

If you have uspsa experience, just show up at RRGC by 8:30 with your gear and $25.

I believe it is $15 for the first gun, $10 for each additional gun... at least that's what I told the MD...

Could someone go through twice (same gun/division)?

Is the sign up starts at 0845?

The way ike is going to run things is, first gun goes through once (all 5 stages). Subsequent guns will have you signing up a second time to run through again, if there are any people wanting a third run with a third gun or diviion, they will re-sign you up and keep at it till it gets dark or people have had enough. Sign up is the usual Richmond time afaik..
