    M&P Trigger Upgrade

While I'm not a competitive shooter, I figured I would ask the experts (yea, that's you) about what to do. Here's the deal... I've got an M&P 9c and love it. The 9c is a great gun, but it's not the best range/target gun, so I decided to get a second M&P, this time a full-sized 4.25" M&P Performance Center 9.

I will say, the new PC shoots much better.

That said, I agree with everyone who has said that the stock M&P trigger isn't great. The PC has a better trigger, but there's still room for improvement. So, I bought these.

I've heard great things about the Apex triggers. So, I have the DCAEK and the AEK trigger. My question is this...

What should I do with these? Should they go in the Performance Center or the 9c? Should I put the Apex in the PC and buy another Apex kit for the 9c? Another option would be to put the Apex into the PC and then move the PC trigger into the 9c (if that's possible).

So what should I do? What would you do?

I would install the D/C AEK and trigger in the PC and move the PC sear and striker block over to the compact.

Before you install the Apex Tactical striker block, take a look at its profile and try to duplicate it on your factory one

The factory performance center striker block is identical to the apex so do not waste your time. The apex trigger limits over travel and you do not have that issue on the performance center as thats taken care of out of the box. Put the apex sear into the performance center and call it a day. Put the pro sear into the 9c and the rest of the parts into the 9c, optimized in every way.

How did this work for you. I noticed on my PC the sear is about the same if not same as the fully machined sear from Apex. It is not their Forward Set Sear (FSS) btw. As for the striker block, it is the same as the old Apex one. The new USB is a bit diffrent.

My advice is to order a FSS for each and be sure tune the trigger bar for each.

My pro has a 2.5lb pull with the Apex USB, factory triger return spring, reduced striker spring and Apex FSS.(factory triger for production matches)

My PC has 3.25 pull with the Apex flat faced trigger and FSS kit. Reset is much shorter than the factory PC and there is no creep to think of. Total trigger travel is much improved.

Read through the Burwell trigger job PDFs and call the crew at Apex if/when you have any questions.
