Front Sight Holster Recommendation

I am taking a course at Front Sight and I am going to use my Glock 19 for the course. I need an owb holster for the class, bought a Blackhawk Serpa holster then read that they don't allow any trigger guard retention holsters such as the Serpa style.

What brand can I use that is a good drawing holster that is not trigger guard retention for the Glock 19?

You can disable the trigger retention with a Q-Tip. I have done it many times there.

Any kydex holster will work. I have both blade tech and uncle mikes. The uncle mikes work and hold up just as well as the blade techs but are half the price. The biggest thing you need to get is a sturdy instructors belt. This way your belt mounted holster and mag pouches are where they are supposed to be and not have a lot of slop on your hips. Stay away from paddle mount holsters, they are way more problematic than the belt mount. The next thing is to decide on cant. Do you want a forward /FBI cant or a straight drop cant? I prefer the strait drop as my abused wrists just refuse to bend that far anymore.
Once you DG handgun and go into advanced classes, you'll definitely torture test your holster and mag pouches from single strong hand as well as single support hand malfunction manipulations.

The BladeTech Revolution is injection molded and the same price as the Uncle Mikes at about $25. There are more expensive BladeTechs available, such as the Black Ice competition model at $65.

Thanks guys I ended up buying an Uncle Mikes for 23.00. I will take my Serpa as a back up. DS I was going to buy an instructors belt at Midway for 19.00 but they sold out so I have a very stiff 1 3/4 that I bought instead wore it with a DeSantis holster around my work for a week and ended up drilling a new hole just to get it tighter. I will probably end up with one of the instructor belts when they come back into stock. My brother bought one so I will see how his works during the class. I just can't spend anymore for this class this time around or the wife will not be happy.

true, but if you want to train like you carry, using an IWB holster isn't a terrible idea. I have friends that use IWB at Frontsight and at the local IDPA club matches just for that reason.
