    G17L in competition?

So, I understand the regs on pistols of a certain size, etc. Is there any competition/division/class/whatever that I can compete with my Glock 17L?

GSSF for sure in the Competition and Unlimited divisions. I think USPSA. I doubt it will fit in the IDPA box.

That's correct. Limited Minor (Due to 9mm caliber)

        Have at it!

No way! I must have been reading their regulations incorrect, I thought it was on their list of non-approved guns. It's go time!

The competition for a G17L would be USPSA/Steel Challenge/3 gun. The USPSA division would be Open/Limited/Limited 10, all scored minor. Open can run 170mm magazine extensions for a capacity of 27-28 rounds and have an optic, Limited at 140mm for 22-23 rounds(depends on the brand), and L10 is 10 rounds. Your classification is a skill level. This is determined by shooting a number of classifiers to place you from D to Grand Master against all other shooters. You do not need to be a member of USPSA to shoot a match, and until you are classified, you are unclassified. Best thing you can do is show up at your nearest USPSA match and jump in with what you have.

Which club are you going to? Magazine capacity only applys to original capacity magazines you legally owned before 2000. You can't put a 140/170mm extension on a 10 rounder because that is manufacturing a high capacity magazine.

Yes, like I said earlier, legal if you owned them before 2000 and allowed. It is not an issue. That is why there is Production and Limited 10 divisions for the 10 round guys... Or in a Glock, for example, you could run a 17 round magazine, but only loaded to 10 rounds in either division.
