    Help! How to properly aim?

I just got into shooting and bought Mosin nagant 9130, Mauser Gewehr 98,SKS and M1 Garand. It's hard to hold the gun steady because its heavy and the sight and target get blurry when i close one eye. I want to get pro training but want to save it for range fees and ammo. Also Zeroing iron sights seems so technical I don't understand what they are talking about. Is there a web site or book shooting for dummies anyone can recommend?
    thank you

You are starting correctly by wanting to learn proper form in the beginning.

    Step 1:
    Part One: http://youtu.be/QoZ_usoFVSc
    Part Two: http://youtu.be/9bmdxZwvkoQ

Step 2: appleseed (the M1 is fine, punishing for a full weekend but fine, a 10/22 would be ideal)
weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

Appleseed is a great introduction on the basic techniques to shooting a rifle accurately...very affordable and money well spent

Hey thank you all. Wow those old government M1 videos are cool. I'm in San Diego. I forgot to mention that I've been practicing in my backyard with a .22 pellet rifle. After I get good with that then I'll graduate to ruger 10/22 and then onto the bigger and heavier milsurps I have yet to fire.
