    Training class costs

I've been looking into becoming an NRA instructor. I'm wondering why the NRA charges SO much to make an ambassador for the greater good of shooting.

I found a non live fire one day class and its $275. With an ideal number of students at 10-12 that's $2750-$3200 does it really need to be that costly? Can someone please explain this to me?

$275 for a 1-day class doesn't seem market price. Prices may vary dependent on range fees but that seems high.

TJ Johnston is a NRA Master Training Counselor. His school in Orange teaches/certifies the NRA basic instructor and RSO programs. Most classes are 16 hours. His classes are $150 (plus ammo). RSO classes are $120.

POPULAR COURSES: This course is specifically designed for the beginning shooter, to allow the opportunity to experiment with handguns under the supervision of knowledgeable instructors. This class will familiarize shooters with the capabilities of and liabilities for using a handgun for defense. Click here for full description and schedule We
