I saw this thread, which is actually why I started this one. It looks like all of those training courses are very high dollar, high quality as well I'm sure.

I'm not really looking to become a super tactical operator though, I just want good training with my shotgun that I can afford.

If I could spend $450 on a training course, plus the cost of ammo I probably would go to one of those courses

I recommend ITTS, Falcon Operations Group, and Firearms Training Associates for shotgun training (in that order).

Look again at their pricing, none of them cost $450 for their one day shotgun classes.

Stay away from Civilian Arms Training. Their instructors leave a lot to be desired for self defense oriented firearms training. Look at the instructor bios and you will see. They also teach center axis relock which shows how little they know about real world training.

Are the instructors still random with FOG or do you get the main ones all the time? I remember when they started up everyone was talking about how good Vodoo and Hollywood were but they also had other adjuncts teach the same courses so you never knew who you were going to get unless you were on the inside track.

I'll add a +1 for St Crispian for being affordable and to be honest probably all you need for a first course.

St. Crispians most likely the one I'll go to
Right now I've only shot my shotgun once, so I need to do more practice/basic shooting before I go out to a course. Plus save up a little money for tuition and ammo.

I haven't taken a shooting class from FOG since 2012. Voodoo and/or Hollywood have been the instructors in all the classes I've attended.

Roger that. Last ones I took were in the tail end of 2011 but I never got the Voodoo/Hollywood experience in either. If its not random anymore I wouldn't mind taking another course from them because everyone keeps talking about those instructors.
