They are not an official IDPA club, they use modified IDPA rules.
Your 1911 45 can have 10 round mags, some other minor changes.
A fun match and good time.
As far as I know they are shooting this weekend. Saturday? Not sure.

Match is still on for Saturday, gate to range should be open by 7:30.
Non-member match fee is $20. I would bring your own drinks and lunch.

Sorry guys for checking back so late but appears all the answers have been provided. Sounds like I will be there and will have on my Calguns zippered hoodie! Should be good weather- pack a lunch and quenchers. My name is Todd and it'll be a pleasure to meet some of you there. It's my first and looking forward to it.

Is a safety and orientation class required for first timers like Sac Valley?

Likely. Apparently it runs until about 2 or so in the afternoon. Here are the competition and equipment rules for IDPA.

El Dorado runs a IDPA light club. Not Strict IDPA rules.
Not sure about the safety and orientation requirements.
Just show up and see if they will let you shoot.
If not, then you can at least watch and see what it is all about.
