    Recommendations for a Shot timer

I am just getting started in USPSA and am wanting to get a timer.
    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

When I was looking to buy a timer recently, I was leaning towards the CED7000, but then I came across the Shotmaxx. I ended up going with the Shotmaxx. Although I've had it for less than a month, I'm pretty impressed and happy with it so far.

you have a lot of choices, all good with different features. I have a 15 year old RUREADY, super loud, 9v battery, microphone can hear rounds at 40 yards. 4 years ago I got a CED7000 super small remembers 10 stages, rechargeable with battery backup accessory. My buddies have the Pocket Pro, Pac, CED pro and the ProTimer V

I don't know about the mechanics of a wrist watch timer, you would have to activate it with your opposite hand. and when you hand the clock over to someone else when you are shooting, take it on and off

I like the competiton electronics pocket pro models, either one i have used and prefer over the ced models. strictly for subjective reasons.
Competition is where you find out you're slow, can't see well, are not accurate, have poor gun handling, can't visualize, have equipment that doesn't work and either accept it OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

            I like the CED7000.

If you just want a par timer for dryfire there are a bunch of free shot timer apps that you can run on your phone. They apparently don't work well to actually time shots but the par timer works great and it'll get you used to reacting to a beep.

I have had my Pocket Pro 2 for a couple of years and have had no problems with it. It is easy to use and easy to see the display.

I have a Pocket Pro II, and it gets the job done, as a nice illuminated display and is easy to use.

One more vote for the CED7000.
