Why you never shoot a brand new gun at a match

Because, it may, or may not run well.... In this case, it doesn't run well.

My point here is for new shooters. Don't assume your brand new wazoo blinged out blaster with all the trick mods is going to run. The first rule is only change one thing at a time....

And you can make Glocks quit also with incorrect modifications, it just takes alot more work than a 1911.

Been there, done that (usually when I get a new part delivered on the day before a match). It sucks. Now I always bring a backup gun.

I think I've only seen one H&K in USPSA in over 15 years.

Same here. The only weird part is that ever since I started bringing backup guns, my primaries stopped breaking parts and haven't failed since.

"the best spare part is a spare gun"
Competition is where you find out you're slow, can't see well, are not accurate, have poor gun handling, can't visualize, have equipment that doesn't work and either accept it OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
