    Pocket Guns & Accuracy

I've had my Kahr P380 for some time and hadn't shot it in almost 4 years. It's had approximately a total of 100 rounds through it.

I recently shot some JHPs to see how they would feed and was very happy about its accuracy. Don't discount the accuracy of pocket guns...this Kahr P380 is more capable than the shooter. Also, make sure your training includes distances of at least 25 yards...any shooting/fundamentals deficiencies are magnified at distance. Speed is the easy part of the equation and will come whether you want it or not (assuming you train towards it). Close yardage hits will be that much more easier and effortless if fundamentals are ingrained.

I actually had videotaped shooting it with a much better group before but the videographer had the camera on "off" when videotaping and "on" when I was done. So we shot it before class on another day.

    Here's the result:

Nice. I just got a Kahr CW9 and was impressed with the accuracy considering it is such a small package (and considering the price!).

Nutnfancy just released a new video on the Soringfield XDs in 9mm. He was super accurate on video and on his paper targets.

At the distance you'd use a pocket gun <3', accuracy is not an issue. Reliability is.

My P380 has been trouble free from shot 1. I only have about 130ish rounds through it so not a great gauge as yet. You are correct though, reliability is obviously quintessential! Nonetheless, Kahrs are very accurate pistols.

I had a Beretta 950BS. And the first Beretta product I've owned which was a complete POS. 7 YARDS was IMPOSSIBLE. I was MISSING the target. A constant Jam-o-matic. I HATED that gun, sold it for $150 after spending over $50 on magazines....

trash. Granted, some of the problems were because I bought a used gun that had a lot of rounds through it... But, I've never had a gun with a safety that you could push hard enough on the trigger to bend it and the gun would fire.

And I've had great luck with Beretta products, but not this POS.

Had the previous owner gunsmith 101'd it? Many unscrupulous individuals sell guns with known safety issues...and many such sellers are the cause of the issues. It's not necessarily inherent flaws in the make or model...

Is the person in the OP's video the same "Monty" as in this video at 1:14?

I don't pretend to be an "authority." I'm just a guy who trains a lot, shoots a lot and has a perspective.
