    IDPA SSR gear question

I am planning on running SSR at IDPA Revolver/Compact and am wondering what you guys are using for speedloader pouches. The Safariland competition holder looks like the best tool to use, but can it be used with HKS (with the correct frame size) OR are the longer Safariland spring type models more effective.

    Thanks Mike

These are the pouches I am using- http://4wheelguns.com/IDPACompliant.html but they are a little tight to get in front on the holster and still stay behind my vest. I have read good things about the Ready Tactical ones too. If you are looking at the Safariland 333 setup I don't think those are legal for IDPA without modification. Use the Comp 3 speedloaders, they are way faster than the HKS units.

Have fun out there in wheelgun land!

I have used the Ready Tactical holders in the past and found them more than adequate.

The best speedlaoders are the Safariland Comp3 that has been cut down or "bubberized". http://www.coolcerts.com/IDPA/Modify...eedloaders.pdf

Ready Tactical is sweet. Low profile, fully functional and affordable.

Added bonus; they take up less real estate on the belt.

I use Safariland Comp3 speedloaders with Blade-Tech pouches. While I'm a huge fan of Blade-Tech, I find their speedloader pouches to have sizing issues (which is especially bothersome given that they aren't cheap).

I think that I'm going to look at the Ready Tactical pouches next. The reviews and prices are pretty good.
My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

Love Ready Tactical for the reasons stated, inexpensive, light, user friendly and functional.

You could pay more, but I don't think you get any additional functionality for the extra money.

That goes for all their stuff. I have mag pouches for them, not such a big deal for IDPA where you only need three, but in USPSA where you may need four, five or six, even us Reubenesque fellas can appreciate the smaller footprint required on the belt to get them on the belt and reachable.
