looks lik he never put a round on it.... ahaha

i like the commentary in the background.
Competition is where you find out you're slow, can't see well, are not accurate, have poor gun handling, can't visualize, have equipment that doesn't work and either accept it OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Yes, clearly it's the guns fault.

I don't pretend to be an "authority." I'm just a guy who trains a lot, shoots a lot and has a perspective.

It probably was the gun's fault...I've had days like that, so I can attest to it

          Front sight

          Front sight

          Front sight

Focus on the sight- not the target.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

The kid's not a newbie gumbie to USPSA, he is an A class Limited 10 shooter, that's why the video is funny. He claims he heard 3 hits with his super wazoo $300 Sordin MSA Pro Ears, and that's usually the clue to transition. You don't actually wait for the steel to fall all the way over.

19 seconds in, the shooter is reloading because he thinks the mini popper did not go down, but in the meantime the steel is falling, called a 'Slow Fall'

I consider myself a steel gun and yes we have all had trouble from time to time. That's shooting and that's why it is fun. Though I think it is most fun when it is someone else. My squad calls this "CHS" Can't hit $#*+. for example "Man you were burning it down until you went CHS at the end, that was funny!"

It's hard not to watch the steel fall. My problem is sometimes I see a piece falling slow in my peripheral vision and mentally consider swing back on it. Now I try to use hotter ammo and trust the shot when I call them. I still do on occasion have problems but then I also get to say "I heard it, I called it, and I am doing 1380fps with a 124gr."

To be fair, I thought I heard 3 edge nicks as well on the last 3 shots he fired. The amount of dirt splash tells me he may have drawn a graphite line on the edge of that popper at the most.

Yup, that's the price you pay for Super hearing ability, but it has to fall. He should have loaded a .457 diameter cast lead hollow point 45acp, maybe that would work.... When he first got those Sordin ears, he tells me he can hear mosquito's buzzing 3 blocks away
