^classifier matches, all 6 stages will be classifiers, therefore, by the end of the day, you'll be classified.

      OP
Any idea how much additional divisions cost?
Say I wanted to shoot Pro, Lim, L10, and Revolver.. is it full price each?

There will be Four (4) Classifier Stages and 2 regular field course stages.
Four is the minimum to become classified in USPSA, the first time you shoot them will count for the match.
Repetitions with a different Division gun cost $3 per gun.

I'm in! Time for me to try the other side of the range.
Competition is where you find out you're slow, can't see well, are not accurate, have poor gun handling, can't visualize, have equipment that doesn't work and either accept it OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

So I joined USPSA on Sunday. I'll be shooting my IDPA SSP gun trying to classify in Production.

Any hints or suggestions for someone coming from idpa? Carry 4 or 5 mags?

Don't worry, I won't wear my super cool vest. =)

              Get your hits.
Classifiers are basically low round count/points stages.
Too many penalties/procedurals will net you a zero for the stage.
A zero score doesn't get turned in.

Well you could wear your vest because there is no rule against it in USPSA. In fact you could shoot any USPSA stage from concealment, and use 'cover' as available from the walls and ports, it's up to you.

Is there a general estimated round count? I've been to the steel challenges and regular shoots at pala. Would the round count be about the same (150-200 rds)? Would like to go but, but ammo is the key factor ( I'd also have to join USPSA.

The 4 classifiers will be 12-18 rounds each.
The two field stages will be regular action stages anywhere from 20-36 rounds.
If hosers set them up they might go over 40 rounds cuz they didn't get enough shooting with so many classifiers.
Carry 5 mags plus starter mag in the gun. I shoot Single Stack (8 rounds) and carry 5+1, have come close but never run out.
So ~125 rounds, 150+ should suffice.

That's because you are a better shot than most .

Any idea what the fees are going to be since there will be 3 extra classifiers? I'm guessing an extra $3 per classifier?

Hey, this is Rowdy B. I got my USPSA member # in the mail today after I got home from the match.

It is A-82278. How do I get this to the right person as on my score sheet this morning I had written in "pending". Thank you.
