Was wondering who on the board does the IDPA shoots out there. I have been thinking on going out to watch a match and learn something new.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

Don't sweat it We all have to start out as a noob Its a good group of people and the Safety Officers will assist you. The goal is to be safe and have fun. Most of the shots are in the 5 to 12 yard range. Check out these photos: http://www.safetyfirstshooting.org/p...008/index.html

If I had the time I would shoot USPSA, IDPA, SASS, Trap, Long Range, etc. Oakdale is a great USPSA club, here is the link to thier web site:

I have shot there in the past and if you like to shoot, you will like USPSA. Keep in mind USPSA is similar to IDPA except more in some ways. More ammo, mags, mag holders are needed. The stages are higher round count. You will also see some pretty exotic custom pistols shooting non-standard reloaded ammo. But these days USPSA has a class for everyone, even stock guns

Hope to see you at River Oaks.
