Front sight Long range course?

Question for other Front sight members that have taken the long range course, do they use MIL or MOA for training? Along that line what other courses use MIL, I've been researching for weeks on which scope... Vortex Viper 4x16.... but need to pull the trigger on my purchase. Understand both benefits of MOA and MIL and just need a push in one direction, I'll go with whatever is standard in the long range training.

And please do not start the MOA vs MIL, Ford vs Chevy debate, just want to know what is taught at the courses.

I don't know where you live but we teach a 2 day Long Range Precision Rifle course at Angeles Shooting Range for $500 by a USMC 0317 Scout/Sniper. Sergeant Scott Olson served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He teaches both Mils and MOA.

Best yet, after the course you will always have access to him for questions and counseling. I'm not sure if Front Site does the same.

You don't have to worry about DGing, sign up and come.

You'll learn to run whatever you have. Get whatever you prefer, it's your rifle/system.

It seems like most people run mildots with MOA turrets. I prefer mil/mil and used that.

In the PR1 class, most of the shooting will be gathering data from 100yds to 600yds in 50yd increments. Shoot a group of three shots, records hits, shoot, record, shoot, record, change distance, repeat. There was some other short instructional lectures as well.

Are you doing the March or May class? I may repeat it so I can DG. To take PR2, you must DG PR1, no grandfathering. I did PR2 last year and would like to do it again.

Thanks guys, no I have not dg the regular rifle course but just wanted to ask before I spend the $$$ on a nice optic. I want to get all the data on best system, moa is easier to do in my head, but mil is the most used. Didn't want to get the system and then find out I should have bought a different one.
