Why is Front Sight pushing sooo hard to upgrade members to Ambassador?

A while back, I purchased a certificate for a four day course there. I have not redeemed it yet but am afraid when hearing this that this will be more of a "timeshare" presentation than an actual tactical course. Hmmmmmm........Comment

Instead of just hanging up on the calls, if you listen to most or all of it, it tells you how to opt out. I think you press 4, but I can't remember.
I never opted out of either the email or phone as its been very, very beneficial for me....I don't want to miss anything...like upgrading to ambassador for $300, selling my current Diamond/Alaska membership for $500 and getting 5 Legacy and 10 Patriot memberships for free. (net $200 and 15 memberships to do with as I wish!)
Incidentally, I get a an email about every day (not like I don't already get a bunch of insurance, Viagra, and other spam anyway....I check it real quick to make sure there is nothing I'm not aware of, then delete it. Takes all of 10 seconds unless there is something new.
As far as the phone calls, they are rare...so maybe I'm on a different phone list or or people are complaining about an occasional call.
In any case, I have so gotten my money's worth since sinking several thousand into my first membership (before all of the promotions), that if the place closed tomorrow I would miss it, but wouldn't for a second think I got screwed.
What really cracks me up is, that even though a person can get a membership so cheap now, they would break even taking only one class.....ahead of the game taking thier second class....they still don't do it to see for themselves....they just talk crap about Piazza and Front Sight.
I think the marketing is over the top too...but we hear the same complants about the NRA. But the reality is that advertising is time consuming and costs money. If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it. And if it's working, then the place will be healthier with more members. I want the place healthy. So, I got no problem with their aggressive advertising. Whatever works.Any Questions about Front Sight memberships or specific information about attending, Feel Free to send me a PM!Comment

Like what they say, If you dont want to join in its okay. If you dont want to get anymore emails you can request, BTW. The shirt hat and pin I think theyre worth the 99 bucks. Its like getting the membership for free really cause you still get the $100.00 for the Pro Shop purchase. I already used my money for the 2013 background check. Im satisfied.Comment

Don't worry
Don't worry, no timeshare sales. Take your course. They talk about memberships during one of the lunches, if you don't want to hear it, eat in your car or on a range, you don't have to sit in on it.

Went to the 4 day handgun course after buying a $250 diamond membership. I was skeptical of 'The sky is falling' marketing. Class was great, instructors professional and fellow shooters fantastic. I didn't hear any crazy marketing stuff during lunch. Everyday had a good lecture on weapon related topics. I enjoyed the training so much I bought an ambassador membership. Looking forward to the next 'Emperor or or 'Dictator' level membership. Overall, marketing is so-so but it works. $250 bucks for 4 days of training with great people like LCU... It's worth it. And I love the drive from sac through the desert!

I bought Diamond memberships for myself and a few friends from MP301. One of the guy I bought the membership for actually wanted to back out on me. The guy took a class with some others and decided to keep the membership. Now he talks up the FS classes and even bought an Ambassador membership. For the price of membership, the classes are more than worth it. Good people in the classes and great instructors.Comment

No Way
I kinda thought that too when I went to my first course but I just made the decision to suck it up and go. It was the best four days I ever spent. Absolutely no high pressure sales to upgrade, time share, etc. During lunch and breaks they have a few vendors that want to sell you hearing protection or a gun safe but all you do is walk out.
Go and enjoy the training. In a couple of weeks, I'm headed back for my fifth course.sigpic

I've been taking classes at FS in Pahrump for over three years and have always enjoyed the experience and the people. I find their marketing to be very amateurish and a bit annoying, but all I have to do is delete a few emails each week. If anyone one is looking for a lifetime membership let me know . . .Comment
