The dates are up. Time to step up the cardio!


Dates for the 2013 MGM Ironman will be June 2-4 for the OLHOT match and June 6-8 for the Scope Tac match. Same schedule as last year. Registrations are tentatively scheduled to open on February 6th.

We may need a RV this time. All that weight from our gear almost killed the suspension on the full-size SUV.

Just take the easy route - Open division.
Then you can cart a range finder and big spotting scope for us.

I don't think my SUV can handle it this time. Been having issues since last time. She's ready to retire.

RV is fine as long as we sleep in a hotel.

We/my frieds sometimes take an SUV and rent a Uhaul trailer. Almost no stuff inside the SUV. Four/five people in the SUV.

First year it was Toyota Sequiaya(?), other year it was an Xterra (older model), last year it was another Toyota Seq.

One year they just left the trailer at the range. The other two years we just left the trailer on and drove around with it.

Trailer is a good option. The cost divied up to 3-5 people isn't bad. Only problem is you actually have a lower speed limit if you tow.

All three times we had either a cop, a deputy or CHP officer in the car. One year it actually helped.

Van is good enough. We don't need 4WD in June.
