Intro to IPSC

Hello All,

I'm taking the Intro to IPSC class in Richmond this Saturday and I was wondering if there is anything I should know before I go. I've got plenty of mags and pouches, holster, eyes and ears. Is there anything else I should take?

Cool! The class is designed for absolute newbies so it'll cover everything you need to know.

BTW, Which handgun are you going to bring to the class?

And congrats on taking the first step into the sport!

I always bring knee and elbow pads. They're rarely needed, but really nice to have those few times

Um, might want to bring a lunch.. though Bill the instructor usually but not always brings speed pills (aka donuts).

It sounds like you have everything you need.. Was ammo part of that list?

I've got ammo. I'll be taking an XD40 with the four inch barrel.

Right, I'll have to figure out something to do for lunch.

if you have any clean wipes for getting the dirt off and cleaning up a little before lunch that would be a good idea. It's a long walk to running water...

If he breaks for lunch, there is a KFC, A&W, Round table, and a Quiznos in a strip mall a couple minutes up the road towards I80 on the richmond parkway. After 12 noon the bar usually sells hot dogs and soft drinks. I doubt he'd want you to have a beer or worse

I'm considering bringing 2 new shooters to the range (w/ some dry prep and safety instruction prior), but an organized class might be just the ticket.
