Making the shot on a stationary target is one thing. Wouldn't take much movement by the hostage taker and hostage to change the outcome. Glad it's such a small chance I'd ever have to attempt it for real. Mark

One of the advance tactical courses we took at FS, they had a scenario where the hostage was fixed but the hostage taker would move back and forth behind the hostage. Everyone did well, no one hit the hostage but a few people just winged the BG, not getting the cranio-occular cavity.

Locally, in SoCal, ITTS has a good hostage rack where the hostage is stationary and the hostage taker moves to either side in increments.

That makes it more difficult with the hostage taker moving behind the hostage. Now if you could set it up where the hostage, who is probably being physically held by the hostage taker, would move a little along with the movement of the hostage taker, that would step up the difficulty even more. Looks like there were some hits on the hostages with that hostage rack in the one photo. It would be fun to try. Mark

We did something similar on the ITTS mover (aim at the leading edge) by having a hostage/hostage target next to each other. Also, you can do the hostage rack while moving. They all make you a better shooter regardless of your SOP.
