    My first USPSA, scoresheet error!

I shot my first USPSA last weekend with a bone-stock (except griptape) m&p 9, but i was scored in limited 10 for some reason.

Other than totally muffing stage 1 by going way too fast, i think i shot half-decent for a newb. I don't wanna get too hung up on scores, but I atleast want to see how i really did I can live with 22nd overall for my first match but I think it should be a little better.

    Im Ryan Smith (7)...

Moral of the story for me...shoot slower and more accurate, and double check what you circle for division on the sign-up sheet!

After looking at each stage, it looks like production was a tougher division and i would have done worse in the overall score if im figuring correctly...

Im a little unclear on minor PF scoring... being in limted as minor i get less for B, C & D hits right?... but what do i get for those in production as minor? Same?

Minor scoring is the same in every division. The point values dont change.

Shooting Limited 10 minor would be the same as Production. What your are thinking about is the difference between major and minor. Most people running limited 10 shoot major, so unless you shoot all A's, you get fewer points for B,C and D hits, mikes are the same.

doesn't really matter because you are unclassified anyway. And if you continue to shoot matches unclassified, which you can, you will never really know where you are at, except at your local match. Join the USPSA, and get going.
