    Resources for improving my shooting

I recently got back into shooting after attending a Living Social deal/event at Bullseye in San Rafael last year. I spent a lot of time shooting airguns and a 10/22 as a teenager, but I hadn't shot anything for more than a decade, and had little handgun experience. After renting a few guns at Reed's, I purchased a Ruger Mark III last month, and have put about 1000 rounds downrange so far.

I think my fundamentals are pretty solid, and I'm shooting tighter, more consistent groups than many of the shooters I see at the range (though not nearly as good as some of the groupings I've seen posted here). However, I'd like to get better and maybe get involved in local competitions, so I'm looking for some resources for improving my shooting.

I'm open to taking courses, but my free time is limited (I mostly shoot Tuesday nights at the Livermore range after my kids are in bed), so self-study (books, DVDs, magazines, websites, etc.) is preferred. Any suggestions? Right now, I'm more interested in resources that focus on technique for competitive shooting (both conventional and IPSA type) than tactical or defense-type training.

    Thanks!

If self-study is your preference, check out the Matt Burkett pistol DVDs. You can rent them from smartflix.com.
