I bought that same original Aimpoint for $20 at Cow Palace just for decoration. Has a 10 or 12 mm ocular lense. awwwful.

Won't even take a normal battery.

Not awful. Just 1970s tech. You can get the proper betteries fro Zbatteries.com. I use those sights on a retro AR build, and will probably put another one on the next upper I build. The sight covers come off, and that usually clears up the sight picture some.
