    benelli m2 question

i just got a benelli m2 field and i see how easy it is to get the benelli thumb. Can you guys recommend a gunsmith in southern california (preferably closer to san diego) to weld the shell lifter?

The guys at Salient Arms can do it "locally", but frankly, most folks just send it to C-Rums.

C-rums also sells already welded lifters too, so you won't have any down time. He also told me that I could send in my old one for credit towards something else.

        As others have posted, C-Rums.

Dave Laver is the original loading gate gunsmith from way back when.

or, learn how to load it without getting your thumb stuck.
I have pretty small fingers, but with "correct" technique its actually pretty easy to avoid benelli thumb.

The trouble with gose's suggestion, is that the learning curve can be very painful!!! LOL!

Thanks for the offer gose, but I already have my Salient. Takes us old guys too long to heal. Being married more than once, I have had enough pain in my life!! LOL!!!

+1 for Dave Lawver at Davesmetalworks.com

He's here local in SoCal and his turn around is real quick.

Jeff at C-RUMS just did my lifter and trigger. Super easy; send your trigger group and two weeks later you are shooting again.

I didn't mess up my thumb (too much) with the factory lifter, but the new one makes the problem go away entirely.
