I shoot from concealment because I use the matches as practice for CCW. I only shoot the way I carry and what I carry every week for practice. My idea is to practice with what I carry so I choose to do it this way. Its hard and frustrating but I instill confidence in myself knowing I can shoot well with my carry gun and rig.Last edited by Brian1979; 07-10-2011, 8:22 AM.Comment

Because trigger time is trigger time and any time you can put yourself in a stressed environment and can execute a skill at or above your expectations, it's a good thing. There's a reason why there's a USPSA club on Ft. Bragg, NC where a HUGE majority of the shooters are from SOCOM.

And here I thought you said Fort Bragg, CA, where there is a IDPA club, and most members are running CCW's.

Stoked Brian1979 could overcome that nasty Death Star. Wished I could have stayed to try to overcome it as well and glad you didn't video me with my encounter as I was laying down dead after Darth Vader slew me from his ship.
Got to stay late next time and practice that more next time it's up.

You saw multiple dropped mags on every video of every stage, lots of them, this is USPSA, you can drop as many mags as you want, full, half empty, or empty. When you show clear and empty at the end of the stage, the round has to come out of the chamber, and the RO has to look into the chamber, and check for clear and empty. It is the same rule for IDPA, Steel Challenge, Bianchi Cup, and 3 Gun, and every other competitive shooting sport on the planet.
