YEA! Grip it and Rip it!!! -
Who is this Rob Leatham guy? Did he train with Magpul?"When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff

It was a rhetorical question. Or is my screen name not too clear about that?
Btw, what is IPSC? Is that a Blackwater subsidiary?"When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff

You guys are too funny.
Wow, he's been a champion since the year I was born
But anyway, back to the interview. Really interesting. I'm just reading Brian Enos's book, which focuses on the diffrent types of "seeing" and now Leatham talks about the diffrent types of trigger control. It was an interesting contrast for me right now, but he's totally right. If you're not treating the trigger like you should, regardless of the sight picture, it's easy to jerk the crap out of your shot.Comment

It's funny how important trigger control is even to trigger slapping practical shooters. I just like the fact how there are a million ways to do it but each one is appropriate to the individual shooter and situation."When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic. To add to the fray, here's a definition that's useful:
Webster's Definition: Sarcasm.
Rich"Speed is a tactic!" - R.W.
"Pressure is what you feel when you don't know what you're doing." - Chuck Knox
"The callus on my finger is from my trigger, not the keyboard!" - Rob LeathamComment

uscbigdawg, figured out the sarcastic part, but you can't trust those IPSC guys..... they use targets without heads. I thought TMC said GunSite, not FrontSite, or as I like to call it, HindSight. The easy way for you guys to remember the difference between Rob and me is: I am 10 years older, taller, better looking (got the Jerry Brown haircut going on now) but just a little slower.
Did you see the lastest Front Sight mag with Sevigny on the cover winning the Single Stack Nationals? He looks different without a Glock.Comment

Sorry Highlander51. Sometimes I am a little slow on the uptake even when I'm making poor attempts at sarcasm myself.uscbigdawg, figured out the sarcastic part, but you can't trust those IPSC guys..... they use targets without heads. Funny enough, it kind of dawned on me only this morning that you were only replying to my post in kind.
Btw, I knew Sevigny has been shooting Single Stack but he is also still with Glock, correct?"When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff

IPSICK, where do you shoot at up North? If you ever get down south be sure to come by Norco Running Gun. We run every Saturday http://nrg.jvdynamics.com/nrg/
Sevigny is still with Glock. I suspect he shoots the Single Stack on his own dime, or maybe Gaston is secretly studying the 1911 design, and plans to come out with a Glock 1911.Comment

When I find time, I shoot at Richmond or Chabot. But working full-time, going to school full-time, and being a father to a young child full-time has severely curtailed my available shooting time. Hopefully can schedule more shooting in the near future. I'd love to check out Norco when I get down there.
I actually knew Sevigny has been shooting Single Stack for quite some time and doing quite well at it. Your post made it seem like he was no longer with Glock. I was still surprised Glock let Abbate go. I realize she may have been asking for more money but it seemed she would appeal to both men and women shooters from a marketing perspective.
Thanks for the invite to shoot south."When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff
