    Peer Training @ Livermore/Pleasanton Range

Seen this post by gschoelles on 10/27/2010 @ 7:46 AM. Anyone doing something like this at the Livermore/Pleasanton Range?? Maybe on off days at the range? Nice, fun way to improve pistol skills and meet like minded people. I'm sure there are good schools and trainers around. That kind of training may not be for everyone. Just a thought.
I started shooting last year a few times and tried an "Action type" match, learned allot about my lack of skll. Have not shoot a firearn in 30-35 yrs. The "Action" shoot was an eye opener!!!

    Many Thanks

    Peer training

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Times being what they are most of us can't afford professional training, however many of us come from diverse backgrounds and have considerable experience.

Hence I'd like to promote peer practice and training groups that would meet, plan and put together reasonably priced (ammo/range cost) training/ practice sessions.

I personally would like to promote a local group for the Riverside area, and setup an initial meeting in early 2011

Please chime in if you are interested.

I'm happy to help teach n00bs. I live just around the corner from LPRGC. What most people need to focus on from what I've seen out there is trigger control, grip and stance for defensive distance sort of stuff. If someone wants to practice more advanced techniques, I'd recommend buying a course at Front Sight, SigArms Academy or some similar facility.

Thanks "r3dn3ck", When I start shooting again I'll try to contact you. Have you attended any of the "Action" type matches and will Livermore/Pleasanton be having them again?
