What Gun to bring to the fight??

This is my first post on CalGuns as I am inbound from the unrestricted areas. I am a little worried since my collection is going to be a "little" different than yours from what I am seeing and hearing. I shoot USPSA in North Carolina and need to find out what my pistol/rifle restrictions are going to be when I get there. I have been reading but there is a lot of mumbo jumbo, legal jargon that I dont comprehend. I am hoping you guys will lead me in the right direction so I dont get cuffed for showing up at the range.
I currently have XDM's, Sigs, 1911 and many AR's. I dont think my XDM's are even allowed in the state are they? Can I use 12 round mags or is it just 10 rounders?
This is going to be like teaching a baby to walk. Thanks for any and all advise.
On the plus side I am military so I can keep all of my mags. I HOPE!!
My wife is going to be really mad if she cant bring her brand new XDM.

Good news you can bring your XDM, bad news you can't bring the mags.....if you take them apart and store them as rebuild kits you shouldn't have any problems. Get some 10 round mags for CA use.

        As I understand the laws:
All the magazines with over 10 round capacity will need to have one of the following happen 1) taken apart and stored as rebuild kits 2) permanently modified to only 10 rounds 3) left out of the state.

The AR will need to be featureless or have a bullet button installed.

Yes, and don't use those blocks that fit inside the magazine, it doesn't comply with what I've read on the DOJ website.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the flow chart in the AW & OLL guides, it is on the main menu. The bullet button/radlock (http://www.riflegear.com/c-78-ar-15-rifle-parts.aspx) would be the easiest solution to modify your AR's in a CA friendly manner.

The Safe Handgun Roster doesn't apply to you. It is only applicable to guns being bought from a dealer or that are being shipped to you from another seller.

All of yours are probably good as long as they don't have threaded barrels, magwells that aren't in the grip, or are chambered for a shotgun shell (i.e. Taurus Judge).

And as others have said, no mags that hold more than 10.

If the OP is in the Military shouldn't he be able to register his AR's and keep the features?
