    USPSA Production Class

Reading the rules for production my eyes started to glaze over. I believe these to be illegal in production but want to run it by "those in the know".

Here is what is visible from the outside.

M&P9mm 5" aftermarket adj. sights and grip tape on grip only.
    Internal: All apex parts inside.

XD9mm 5" bomar rear sight cut into slide. Slide refinished (color) and grip tape.
Internal: Rich, Canyon creek trigger work.

What class would you run these in L10 minor?

    Production Class:

20.2. Aftermarket open sights (see Rule 5.1.3.1) are permitted, provided
their installation and/or adjustment requires no alteration to the
    handgun.

20.3. Aftermarket grips which match the profile of the OFM standard for
the approved handgun and/or the application of tape on grips (see
Appendix F4) is permitted, however, rubber sleeves are prohibited.

So the XD is out because the slide was machined to fit the sight but the M&P is in because the sights are in the factory dovetail.

The skatboard tape on both are OK your saying?

For most club matches either gun will be fine as long as the holster and mags meet production rules.
        where are my pistol mags?

Correct. Skateboard tape is fine as long as you don't wrap it around 1000 times to make the grip ridiculously bulkier.
